DODGE COUNTY, WIS. – Dodge County held a public Open House on Thursday, June 29 to share the draft Comprehensive Outdoor Recreational Plan Update developed with the help of Vandewalle and Associates. While the plan process is nearing completion, the public was offered several ways to provide valuable input at the Open House.
The plan is designed to reassess priorities and recommendations to help guide decisions on meeting the recreational needs of residents and visitors. Additionally the plan update allows Dodge County to maintain eligibility for State grants.
“Our five year park plan update is crucial to the success of our Parks and Trails system”, states Bill Ehlenbeck, Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Director. “Besides keeping us eligible for grant funding, it gives us a road map for parks and trails developments and improvements that meet the needs and demands of our park users.”
