Veridian Homes to build new Reiland Grove neighborhood on Madison’s East Side

A new neighborhood design from Veridian Homes proposes 500 single-family homes, twin homes and townhouses would be built on about 150 acres of farmland on Madison’s Far East Side.

The proposed Reiland Grove neighborhood, positioned between Felland and Reiner roads includes sites for 264 single-family homes, 224 twin homes, 60 townhouses. It also adds new roads, stormwater ponds and two parks. Construction is expected to take place over the next 10 to 15 years.

The neighborhood “builds upon the network of walkable streets and new neighborhoods” in the eastern part of the city, Brian Munson of Vandewalle & Associates, a planning and design firm working with Veridian, told the city Plan Commission at a meeting in early July 2025.
