MADISON, WIS. (EXCERPTS FROM FOX47.COM): The Madison Plan Commission approved Edgewood High School’s plan to make several improvements to its stadium, a proposal that has drawn both support and concern from nearby residents.
“The improvements here are now being done to expand the use of the site but rather give a more comfortable environment.” said Brian Munson, Madison resident and Principal Planner at Vandewalle & Associates.
In the past, residents from the Vilas and Dudgeon-Monroe neighborhoods clashed with Edgewood over the school’s request to add stadium lights. More recently, the school and the two neighborhood groups came together to support a plan for stadium upgrades.
