First mixed-use development in decades breaks ground in Thiensville

Developers have broken ground on the Meridian, a $24 million mixed-use residential and commercial development. The first new apartment homes built in the village in decades, it is part of a tax increment financing district (TID) in the Village of Thiensville’s downtown.

Developer Heimat Capital is configuring the three-story building with a mix of 80 studio and one-bedroom apartments, with 5,000 square feet of retail and commercial uses anchoring the Meridian on the street level. The development will also have community and patio spaces.
