Evan is an Assistant Planner at Vandewalle & Associates who comes to us with a bachelors in Public Administration and an emphasis in Planning and Budget Management.
Academically, Evan has studied a wide range of planning topics and issues including planning law, site and market analysis techniques, walkable neighborhoods, issues and planning for affordable housing and multifamily housing. College-level projects in the cities of Milwaukee and Sheboygan have provided him some highly applicable opportunity to study and problem-solve the challenges faced by many mid-size communities in the upper Midwest.
Professionally, Evan has already advanced his career by gaining some valuable real-world experience working full-time in the field while pursuing his Masters’ degree. As an intern and associate, Evan has been immersed in the complex workings of the planning process including updating comprehensive plans, grant writing, due diligence documentation, parking studies, zoning and building permits, economic development research, administration of GIS software, and working with municipal planning staff.
