SHEBOYGAN, WISC (excerpts from wsjonline.com) – Alliant Energy has announced it is closing its Sheboygan coal-fired power plant, which is the last of its kind operating in Sheboygan. The Edgewater 5 generating station will be completely decommissioned by 2023.
