In February, V&A’s Brian Munson and Ben Rohr will be teaming up with representatives of the City of Fort Atkinson to present a special report on housing entitled, “Steps to Generating New, Diverse Housing in Small Communities.” The presentation provides a glimpse at the economic events that have created today’s housing environment in the US, in Wisconsin, and in individual localities such as the SE Wisconsin community of Fort Atkinson. It also focuses on creating innovative solutions using a range of zoning, analysis, planning, public-sector participation, and other tools as deployed with success in Fort Atkinson.
The conference runs from February 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee. The 2023 WEDA Governor’s Conference on Economic Development runs from February 1-3 and is entitled, “The Past, Present, and Future of Economic Growth in Wisconsin.” The event will feature industry thought leaders and practitioners who will cover today’s challenges and opportunities as we explore community revitalization, data driven talent attraction, transportation, early childhood care, housing, and entrepreneurship.
