MONONA, WIS. (EXCERPTS FROM THE MONONA HERALD-INDEPENDENT / MCFARLAND THISTLE): Ice skaters of all ages and talents came out to the Monona Bank RiverRink on Saturday for free skating as the rink opened for the season.
This marks the second full skate season for the new riverfront park. The Grand Crossing Park is part of a massive redevelopment project on the Yahara River led by Vandewalle & Associates that is in its final phases.
