FORT ATKINSON, WIS. (THE MUNICIPALITY)- The City of Fort Atkinson has been working with Vandewalle & Associates on a market-savvy housing program that helps the community fill in the “missing middle” of its housing needs.
Vandewalle & Associates’ Carol Cizauskas and Ben Rohr interviewed City staff to uncover some insights of what went into the new housing strategy. It was published in “Proactive Public Sector-Led Steps to Generating New Housing,” a new article of the September issue of The Municipality Magazine – the official publication of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. The article, which begins on p. 19, includes not only insights into the challenges and solutions for small communities of this size, but also a glimpse of the “five angles” from which Vandewalle & Associate helps communities to frame and attack the housing crunch in ways that meet each unique market.
