The Vandewalle & Associates planning team is working with a number of Midwestern communities on their Comprehensive Plan Updates including Williams Bay, Altoona, Manitowoc, and Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. The team is also working on a comprehensive update for Hancock County, Indiana in conjunction with an Economic Development Strategy and Thoroughfare Plan.
Each of these comprehensive plan efforts can include multiple opportunities for public engagement out in the community such as open houses, focus groups, online and in-meeting surveys, and other outreach tools that are a great way for residents to ask questions, and to share their thoughts, needs and ideas for the future of their community.
Here are some community-specific Comprehensive Plan updates:
WILLIAMS BAY, WISC: The team kicked off the Comprehensive Plan Update process by conducting a series of Focus group interviews and a public workshop for the Williams Bay Comp Plan on January 19th. Over 50 people at the workshop.
MOUNT HOREB, WISC: A Public Open House took place February 16. The final plan is expected to be adopted on March 23rd.
ALTOONA, WISC. The team is preparing to conduct a public open house in late March-early April. Watch for an announcement to save the date!
