
VILLAGE OF EAST DUNDEE, ILLINOIS (with excerpts from chicagotribune.com) – The Village of East Dundee is to the be the location for a new $15 million Caterpillar service/repair center. The Village intends to provide $2 million in tax incentives to advance the project. Village officials are working with Vandewalle and Associates on the eligibility study that will determine whether the property should be added to existing TIF districts or a new TIF district should be created.
The new facility will bring new jobs to East Dundee, and will be built on about 23 acres of land on the south side of the Route 72 and Christina Drive intersection.
