Changes and new faces in the Milwaukee Office. Our capable and hard-working Milwaukee-based team is being joined in its work serving southeast Wisconsin by Scott Harrington AICP, V&A Principal Planner/Redevelopment. Scott replaces Jolena Presti as team leader for the Milwaukee Office, becoming Interim Managing Director. Scott has over 30 years of experience working in long-range planning and redevelopment all over the country—from Florida to Illinois; North Carolina to Colorado. In his past 15 years with Vandewalle & Associates, he has led successful planning and redevelopment projects throughout three states—including greater Milwaukee area locations of Wauwatosa, Cudahy, Sussex, Slinger, Lannon, Washington County/Hartford, and Richfield. Scott brings an exceptional skill-set to lead the Milwaukee office. In addition to his expertise structuring and managing TIF, Scott’s skills in real estate, client relations, funding strategies, downtown planning, and assembling cross-consultant teams are second-to-none.
This change comes at a time of great potential and momentum within in the region. Over two decades V&A has focused on both the big picture and the inner mechanics of the region. We have strategized at the regional scale with Milwaukee 7; worked alongside corporations; helped grow business clusters with The Water Council; and been on the ground transforming communities, corridors and redevelopment sites.Yet there is more work to do in southeast Wisconsin and communities big and small.
Scott will be joining Milwaukee office Lead Associate Jackie Mich, AICP who will continue in her role providing top-notch project management and planning expertise to the Milwaukee area.
Associate Meredith Perks will continue to provide clients in the Milwaukee area with project management, comprehensive planning, redevelopment and implementation as well as grant research and writing.
Taking on a greater role in the Milwaukee office is Jeff Maloney, Principal Urban Designer/Development Facilitation & Implementation, who will continue to serve as Principal-in-Charge for projects in Wauwatosa and Franklin, Jefferson, and Sturgeon Bay.
Dan Johns AICP, Associate Planner/Economic & Real Estate Market Analyst and three-year alumnus of the Milwaukee office, will be a frequent face in the office as he expands his role working on TIF projects throughout the greater Milwaukee area.
