JEFFERSON, WISC. The City of Jefferson has been awarded a $250,000 CDI Grant from WEDC. The grant will help Gorman Company’s construction of the Candise Street Lofts – an historic, affordable housing redevelopment project that will include artist studio space. The CDI grant will be used to complete necessary flood mitigation work at the site and will facilitate construction and expansion of the Jefferson Riverwalk along the Rock River. The project is the redevelopment of the long-vacant/underutilized Foremost Building Site and is a key part of the Downtown and Economic Recovery Plans that Vandewalle has worked on over the last several years.
