CHANNEL3000.COM EDITORIAL BY NEIL HEINEN: We consider the reimagining and redevelopment of the Alliant Energy Center to be one of the most important big ideas facing Dane County and we’d love to see some serious momentum behind a consensus master plan before the year is out.
It’d be a perfect complement to the enthusiasm generated by the Madison College campus going up on South Park Street, a similarly big idea that is adding to the inclusive economy we’re pushing this year.
But the key word is consensus. And that’s where you come in.
Monday evening (October 15, 2018) there’s a public hearing on the draft master plan for the Alliant campus including Vandewalle and Associates Destination District Vision and Strategy blueprint which we strongly support. This is the only scheduled public presentation of the current drafts so this is your chance to weigh in.
We believe a good piece of our shared future as a region rides on this project. The meeting’s at 5:30 at the Expo Hall.
