Monona Grove district enrollment projected to grow significantly

FROM THE HERALD-INDEPENDENT–Student population numbers in the Monona Grove School District are projected to climb more than 30 percent by 2030-31, according to the latest long-term enrollment analysis presented to the Facilities Advisory Committee. “The data presented puts into focus why the district is engaged in facilities planning,” Superintendent Dan Olson said. “Experts anticipate strong enrollment growth in our district, and it’s important that we engage the community in planning for this growth.”

According to data delivered by urban planning firm Vandewalle & Associates, enrollment is projected to grow from about 3,300 students in 2017-18 to more than 4,300 students in 2030-31. These enrollment figures do not include off-site 4-year-old kindergarten students. Read the full article here.
