MADISON WI: SEPTEMBER 11, 2017–WISC-TV and Madison Magazine Editorial Director Neil Heinen presented an editorial opinion that urges Dane County to think big when it comes to redevelopment of the underutilized Alliant Energy Center on Madison’s Southeast side–an area which includes the Expo Center, Arena, Pavilions, Willow Island, and Coliseum, but which Heinen states has the opportunity to be a welcome catalyst for reinvestment in the John Nolen Drive, South Park and south Madison corridor as well as the economy of the entire region. The bold and exciting vision prepared by Vandewalle & Associates will be presented on Monday. This is “arguably the most important redevelopment opportunity in Dane County today,” said Heinen.
