FROM THE WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL–Dane County is moving forward with a planning process that is examining future development and the long-term health of its Alliant Energy Center.
A County project oversight committee on Monday heard the results of the most recent study to guide its development of a master plan for the South Side expo center. The “strategy implementation” study, prepared by Madison-based Vandewalle & Associates, lays the groundwork for creating the master plan, suggests the creation of a multi-jurisdictional development plan and recommends a range of options to fund potentially millions of dollars worth of investment into the 164-acre campus.
