
FROM THE MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. Wisconsin developer Gorman & Co. Inc. is looking to take over the stalled Machinery Row project, a 20-acre, vacant industrial site on the Root River in Racine. The developer intends to have work underway by summer 2018.
Racine Mayor John Dickert and Gorman Wisconsin market president Ted Matkom announced the plan to Racine’s Common Council on Wednesday. Gorman will have two months to analyze the property to determine whether the envisioned project can happen.
The property has about 750,000 square feet of vacant industrial buildings, and much of that space could be restored into market-rate apartments and commercial space. Read the full article here.
