Spaceport Sheboygan opens in new location

After five months of preparation, Spaceport Sheboygan has opened its doors in a new location in the former Triple Play building on South Pier.

Spaceport moved out of the Sheboygan Armory earlier this year, after several years inside that historic but deteriorating building. The City of Sheboygan is currently considering options for the 72-year-old facility.

Exhibits continue to be installed in the new location, including an interactive video that lets visitors land the space shuttle, authentic NASA mission control consoles, NASA artifacts, a working flying spacecraft that operates like a UFO, hands-on activities that teach about centripetal force and magnetic force. Spaceport Sheboygan is a great way for kids to gain introduction the science, technology, engineering, math, and career opportunities of the aerospace industry.
