Water Council’s reach is not just Milwaukee, not just Midwest, but global

According to the Business Journal, the Water Council–based in downtown Milwaukee–is getting noticed globally. The Water Council has secured a lease with Envolus Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Envolure, based in Montpellier, France. Envolure has developed a technology that rapidly analyzes wastewater and organic waste. Several other French companies are also interested in space in the Water Council’s Accelerator building in Milwaukee’s 5th Ward neighborhood, which the Water Council is leveraging to help make the region a global water research and business hub.

“A lot of companies are looking at Milwaukee as their place to come into the United States.” said Dean Amhaus, president and CEO of the Water Council.

Once renovations are completed, the building will house businesses, startups and academia. Vandewalle & Associates has been working with the Water Council and active in helping advance the Water Industry Cluster in Wisconsin for several years.
